This chandelier was originally designed as a candelabra and was originally created by Agnèsafter she was inspired by a famous heroine during the Californian gold rush in 1849.
Thanks to this chandelier model and the joints that she could articulate as she wished, she managed to work in a limited improvised workspace.
Since 2010, the chandelier has been manufactured by Lindsey Adelman of Roll & Hill. Adelman discovered industrial design when she was an assistant at the Smithsonian, and in 1996 she obtained a degree in industrial design.
Roll & Hill is based in New York and works exclusively with American designers designing all kinds of lamps: from desk lamps to chandeliers.
At the time Agnes had made a chandelier which used candles rather than bulbs, it was only later that these candles were replaced by bulbs.
It can sit alongside a simple and refined decoration to give it a unique touch.
