More info

The Eileen Gray Bibendum chair was created by Eileen Gray in 1919 for Classicon. The Bibendum Chair has been then reedited by Classicon itself. Its shape evokes the famous "Michelin man".

Eileen Gray was one the first designer to create a chair with a tubular structure together with Perriand and Le Corbusier. The base of this U-shaped bibendum chair is made of chromium-plated stainless steel tube. The Eileen Gry seat’s framing is in beechwood reinforced with rubber straps. The back and armrests of the Eileen Gray bibendum chair are made of two superposed rollers upholstered with polyurethane foam. The Bibendum Eileen Gray 1925 chair is available in classic leather. It has been initially reedited by Classicon

Given the quality of materials used and its majestic allure the Bibendum chair is one of the most amazing pieces of furniture of the 20th century.
