Gold and Copper Pendant Lights: Designer Lighting Trends for 2026

by admin 13 Oct 2019 0 Comments

Golden and copper pendant lights are the warm metallic trend of 2026. Brass, gold and copper finishes catch the light, glow softly when switched on and turn a simple suspension into a real design piece. Above a dining table, a kitchen island or in a hallway, a gold pendant lamp or a copper pendant light brings warmth and character to modern interiors.

Why gold and copper are back in 2026

After years of matte black and white, interiors are warming up again. Gold, brass and copper reflect a soft, flattering light and pair beautifully with natural materials: marble, wood, velvet and bouclé. They also work with black for a graphic contrast, or with neutral beige and terracotta tones for a calm, enveloping atmosphere.

Golden chandeliers: a statement above the dining table

A golden chandelier instantly becomes the focal point of the room. The Agnes chandelier plays with brass arms and exposed bulbs in a modular, architectural composition, from 6 to 20 bulbs. The Trumpet chandelier gathers golden trumpet-shaped shades for a theatrical effect, while the Gio chandelier, inspired by Gino Sarfatti, radiates 30 or 50 lights from a central cylinder for large living rooms and entrance halls.

Black and gold pendant lights: an elegant contrast

Black and brass is the most elegant duo of the moment: the black shade gives structure, the gold interior or details warm up the light. The Victoria black and brass pendant lamp suits a dining room, a bedroom or a restaurant, alone or in a row above a long table.

Copper and gold pendants for the kitchen and the bar

Above a kitchen island or a bar counter, smaller metal pendants lined up in twos or threes create rhythm and focused light. The Vintage bar pendant light, gold or copper has a retro, industrial charm and exists in two sizes. The Rango pendant lamp, gold or copper, with its geometric facets, reflects the light like a jewel and comes in gold, copper or silver.

How to choose and hang a gold or copper pendant light

  • Above a dining table: hang the bottom of the lamp about 75 to 85 cm above the table top.
  • Size: choose a diameter of about half to two thirds of the table width, or a chandelier slightly narrower than the table.
  • Above an island: use 2 or 3 pendants spaced 60 to 80 cm apart, at the same height.
  • Bulbs: choose warm white (2,700 K) to bring out gold and copper finishes.
  • Mix finishes: repeat the metal once or twice elsewhere in the room (a mirror frame, a lamp, a table base) for a coherent look.
