Born in Baltimore in 1919, Warren Platner got his architecture degree from the University of Cornell in 1941. From 1960 to 1965, he collaborated with Eero Saarinen with who he designed Washington Airport and the Lincoln Center theatre.

Born in Baltimore in 1919, Warren Platner got his architecture degree from the University of Cornell in 1941. From 1960 to 1965, he collaborated with Eero Saarinen with who he designed Washington Airport and the Lincoln Center theatre.
In 1967, he created the « Warren Platner Associates » company which became famous for its creation of furniture, textiles, lighting, industrial and commercial interiors.
Warren Platner created the « Platner collection” which contained tables and chairs. For this collection he used nickel plated steel rods to create the bases and focused on round shapes.
