"Actual, feasible and concrete."

Konstantin Grcic is a German designer born in Munich in 1965. He began his career with a training in furniture manufacturing in England and then enrolled at the Royal College of Art in London. His work is strongly influenced by two designers: Jasper Morrison and Vico Magistretti.

In 1991 he founded his studio in Munich, Konstantin Krcic Industrial Design (KGID). Konstantin Grcic favors the functionalist approach of design. He describes his work as current, feasible and concrete. This artist claims, however, not to like minimalism because, according to him, the object must have a certain functionality.

Some of his creations are exhibited at the MoMA of New York; he was awarded the Golden Compass in 2001 and 2011.
