Diiiz continues to expand its range of modern, designer pendant lamps, and is proud to welcome the superb reproduction of Antoni Arola’s Flamingo Vibia Pendant lamp into the collection. This collection of pendant lamps makes for warm and atmospheric lighting, due to their delicate construction in metal and acrylic.
The Flamingo Vibia lamp can also be used as a spotlight thanks to its LED light source. This Flamingo Pendant lamp designed by Antoni Arola, combines everything we love at Diiiz; it combines aesthetics, practicality, poetry and design.
The Flamingo pendant lamp is available in in a 2-layer or 3-layer model, both with the same concept, allowing you to choose the model best suited to your needs.
Antoni Arola is the father of both the Palma and the Flamingo collection for Vibia. His projects are very varied: lighting, pieces of furniture, interior design projects and exhibitions. With the Flamingo Pendant lamp for Vibia, he merges artistic experimentation and his passion for new lighting technologies by using LED lamps.
This Flamingo 1510 pendant lamp was awarded the Wallpaper Design Award 2017, the Interior Design’s Best of Year Award 2017 and the 2016 Design Plus Light + Building Award. Therefore, the Flamingo 1510 Vibia lamp combines functional design with a real interest in innovation.
The work of designer Antoni Arola is renowned for its versatility. In fact, the designer of the Flamingo Vibia pendant lamp received the Spanish National Design Prize in 2003 and he has continued to be recognised as one of the most remarkable figures of the Spanish design landscape.
The Flamingo Vibia pendant lamp literally deconstructs light. By moving the shade away from the light source, Antoni Arola has divided the elements which normally make up a classic pendant lamp. The challenge was to project the light onto the lampshade of the Flamingo lamp rather than wrapping the light source in it. The result is stunning, and undoubtedly allows for new sculptural and luminous effects.
