Contemporary German designer, Richard Sapper, studied philosophy, anatomy, graphics and economy. During his career, he focused on the creation of technically complex objects.
He started to work at Mercedes-Benz as a designer and then joined the Gio Ponti office in Milan in 1958. He became associates with the Italian designer and architect, Marco Zanuso, for 18 years.
During the 70’s, he produced the Tizio lamp, which remains one of the bestselling lamps in the world. Richard Sapper had the honor of working with Knoll, B&B, Alessi, IBM, Fiat, Pirelli and many others.
